Why does the album art appear black on my ipod nano?

When i look at the album flow, three of the album covers are black. The rest are fine, and the three look fine in itunes, its just that when they are on the ipod they are black

When i add album art to my Ipod touch, when it is playing the song the art is black.?

so i went through and added the album art to a bunch of albums that i have on my touch. then wehn i turn it on, only 10% of the picture is showing at the top and the rest is just black. this happens for all the artwork that i manually put on. However when i get a song that comes with artwork it shows up perfectly fine. Does anyone know how to change it so when i add the artwork it shows it?

Why does the album art on an iPod touch go completly black?

When the iPod is connected to the computer the album art is there but when I disconnect it, the album art is completely black.
