FTC Publications Hosts National Model Call at Georgia World Congress Center October 20, 2006

FTC Publications will hold a National Model Call at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta to fill national modeling jobs for Visage Cosmetics, a Global 2000 software product, International Modeling Project for United States and United Kingdom, and other upcoming projects.

Atlanta, GA. (PRWEB) October 4, 2006 — National Publisher FTC Publications, Inc. will hold a national model call in an effort to fill national positions for Visage Cosmetics, African Imports, A Global 2000 software product line, an international modeling project for the U.S. and U.K., a national online retailer, and others. The call which will be held in Atlanta, Georgia at the Georgia World Congress Center opens to the public with free admission at 10:00am Eastern. The national publisher manages and employs models around the world, and every so often goes to the general public to fill positions from clients. While most of the lead positions will be held by actual models that are members of FTC Publications, other supporting and lead positions are being made available all other models and actors in the industry.

The modeling positions are all paid positions, which will vary from 0.00 to 0.00 per session with some jobs having many sessions. The publisher has also negotiated points deals with some clients, allowing the selected model to share in the profits that a particular client product could earn, in some cases netting the model hundreds in additional earnings opportunities.

The National Publisher seeks all ethnicities, divided into each job opening; and all applicants should be age 18 or older.

Many are expected to attend the national event, with National Fashion Model Nicole Wallace also in attendance searching for additional models to appear in the National Fashion Show also being held in Atlanta later this fall season.

FTC Publications Models are not strangers to national work and international campaigns, such as Chanelle Smith with Visage Cosmetics appearing with National Retailer Amazon.com, Kimberly Johnson with African Imports, Renee Taylor with authentic swords, and other models have appeared on NBC’s Television Show LAX such as Atavia Crockett, Stacy Mellish with Nike, Moya Mills on the Discovery Channel, Starlett Beam and Deisha Smith as guests on the Tyra Banks Show, and extras such as Chandrea BoBo in Daddy’s Little Girl, Parker Price in ATL and Steppin’, along with Telejah Brooks and many others in several roles and positions across the Country.

This is a film we created to introduce people to the School of Public Health at the University of Illinois. The University of Illinois at Chicago Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety Education and Research Center (Illinois ERC), a National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) funded training grant provides MS and PhD training in industrial hygiene, occupational health nursing, occupational safety, and occupational epidemiology as well as occupational medicine residency training, including MPH graduate degree, and specialized training in agricultural safety and health to students in a variety of degree programs. Additionally the continuing education and outreach program exists as a resource on occupational health and safety issues for all and to support the goals and objectives of the NIOSH Training Grants Program and the WHO Global Plan of Action on Workers Health 2007-2017. For nurse Heather Szymczak, the chance to fly off to the remote rain forest of Bolivia for nine months is a dream come true — but not for the usual reasons of travel and adventure. Ever since she was 15, Szymczak has volunteered to do humanitarian-aid work in Third World countries. This mission is different, she said, calling it “a test.” Szymczak, 33, of Milton, has been awarded a nine-month fellowship by Massachusetts General Hospital, where she has worked for two years as a nurse on an adult surgical floor. She is one of three winners of the Thomas S. Durant Fellowship in Refugee Medicine, awarded every year, and she chose Concern America, a small nonprofit agency in Chicago that provides humanitarian help, for her mission. She will work in a health clinic in Rurrenabaque, a village in the Beni province in Bolivia, and spend part of her time in a remote area of the rain forest. Once a month, she will take four-day trips on the Beni River, stopping at villages along the way to provide care and health education.
