Why does the album art appear black on my ipod nano?

When i look at the album flow, three of the album covers are black. The rest are fine, and the three look fine in itunes, its just that when they are on the ipod they are black

I couldn’t figure out why mine was doing this also. I’ve come to the conclusion that it is just a glitch and ITUNES will design a patch for it soon, just in case I would send a message to Apple about the problem if you want it patched faster. I have already downloaded at least three patches for my IPod Nano since buying it, the new Ipod designs usually have patches for glitches after the first few months of release. Until then you might want to delete the artwork so as a gray square with a music note shows up instead of the black square, as I think this looks better.
Sorry but tis is technology.
mine does this too. its so annoying and ugly.
im assuming its just a glitch too. wait for a new version of itunes, they might fix this.
It happens to me too. I’ve found a way to fix this.
#1 – Remove defective picture using, “get info” feature on songs.
#2- Convert the image to .tiff, I used the windows paint program
#3- Reload album art as tiff file
This has worked for me, I am very interested to know if other people have success with with method.
potential tourist’s method worked for me. Sometimes I had to delete the album and reload it twice, but this only happened a couple of times. Make sure you delete it, confirm that, and then reopen the Get Info window again before loading the new .tiff file picture if it still doesn’t seem to be accepting the picture.
